Start from an idea, template or theme and gradually build the story.
Monistoire is a Quebec-based platform for creating personalized stories for children. Tudio designed the product, its user experience and technical architecture, then developed a complete web application bringing together creation, personalization, reading, audio and family account management.
Monistoire needed to be easy for parents to understand, engaging for children and flexible enough to let each user build a story that feels like their own.
The work therefore started well before development. We needed to define the user journeys, product rules, how a story is created, child profile management, publishing, reading and the supporting features around the experience.
The platform was then custom developed with Symfony to maintain full control over the experience and allow the product to evolve progressively over time.
The product supports several stages of the journey without requiring the child or parent to switch tools.
Start from an idea, template or theme and gradually build the story.
Build pages, choose backgrounds, add characters and personalize the content in the Studio.
Turn the project into a finished story and access it from the personal or family space.
Enjoy the story in a reading experience designed for children, with audio narration when available.
The Studio combines writing and visual composition in a single interface. Users can work page by page, choose a background, place characters and build a story without having to learn complex creative software.
The interface needed to remain simple enough for families to use while offering enough possibilities for every story to feel genuinely personal.
Monistoire is more than an editor. The user space makes it possible to find creations, organize the family experience and quickly access the platform's important features.
Find drafts or published creations and easily continue a project.
Adapt the experience to the family and organize access according to profiles.
Centralize account information and features related to using the service.
Once published, the story leaves the creation interface and becomes content to read and share. The reading experience puts the illustration front and centre and can also include audio narration.
The visible interfaces are only one part of the work. Monistoire also relies on an application architecture capable of managing accounts, stories, permissions, content and the product's different features.
An architecture developed specifically around the product, without relying on a generic website model.
Tools integrated into the experience to help generate ideas, improve the text and support creation without replacing the child.
Created content can be enjoyed as a real story, with a dedicated reading interface and audio options.
The product accounts for the roles of both parent and child, with spaces and usage rules adapted to each.
The challenge was not to accumulate features, but to build a product that supports creativity without making the experience complicated for families.
User journeys designed to be used with or by children.
Tools that make it possible to create a genuinely different story.
An experience that accounts for the parent's role and child profiles.
An architecture designed to support new features.
Monistoire brings several disciplines together in one project: product strategy, UX/UI, application development, data management, integrations and technical operations.
Explore MonistoireMonistoire now brings creation, personalization, story management, family profiles and the reading experience together in one environment. Every feature fits into a coherent journey from the initial idea to the finished story.
For Tudio, Monistoire demonstrates expertise that goes beyond building a website: turning a product idea into a complete web application that can be operated and evolved over time.
