1. What this Policy covers
This Policy explains how tudio.ca uses cookies and similar technologies. A cookie is a small file or identifier stored by your browser that can help a website operate, remember certain choices or measure how the website is used. Cookies do not all serve the same purpose, so we distinguish between mechanisms that are necessary for the website to function and analytics cookies that are optional.
Tudio is a trade name of DigitApp Inc. This Cookie Policy complements our Privacy Policy, which explains our broader handling of personal information. We do not use Google Ads, advertising cookies or remarketing cookies for the activities described here.
2. Essential cookies and storage
Certain cookies or storage mechanisms may be required for normal website operation, the security of a session or form, or the temporary preservation of a technical choice. They are not used to create an advertising profile and are not activated for the purpose of measuring your behaviour for marketing. Because they support the service you request, they may be used without being placed in the optional analytics category.
You can configure your browser to remove or block cookies, but blocking strictly necessary mechanisms may cause certain website or form features to stop working as intended. We aim to keep essential storage limited to what is genuinely useful for the operation and security of tudio.ca.
3. Google Analytics 4: only with your consent
Tudio uses Google Analytics 4 to understand, at a general level, how visitors use the website. Google Analytics may generate statistics about users and sessions, pages viewed, certain interactions, browser and device information, and approximate geolocation. We use these insights to improve the website’s structure, content and navigation.
Google Analytics cookies are enabled only when you accept the analytics category. If you refuse, Tudio does not activate Google Analytics 4 for analytics purposes during your visit. We do not use this data for remarketing, personalized advertising or the creation of an individual commercial profile.
4. Cookies associated with Google Analytics
In its standard configuration, Google Analytics 4 uses a cookie named _ga to distinguish users and a cookie in the form _ga_<container-id> to maintain session state. Google states that these cookies may have a default expiry of up to two years, subject to website configuration, browser-imposed limits and your decision to delete cookies earlier.
A cookie’s lifespan in your browser is not necessarily the same as the period for which analytics data is retained within Google Analytics. Service-side retention depends on the settings configured in the Google Analytics property. Tudio may change those settings or shorten retention periods where appropriate, without adding an advertising purpose.
5. Your choice: accept, refuse or change your mind
When you visit the website, you can accept or refuse analytics cookies through the website’s cookie management mechanism. Refusing analytics cookies does not prevent access to Tudio’s public pages. Your decision is not permanent: you can reopen the cookie manager and change your preference, and you can also delete cookies already stored in your browser.
If you withdraw consent, Google Analytics is no longer activated for new analytics measurements after that withdrawal according to the website configuration. Removing cookies already stored on your device may require an action in your browser; the steps differ between Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and other browsers.
6. Calendly and external websites
Tudio provides a link that allows visitors to schedule a meeting through Calendly. This link takes you to an external service. When you visit Calendly, that service may use its own cookies and collect information you choose to provide in accordance with its own policies. Those cookies are not controlled by the tudio.ca consent mechanism because they are placed or used on the external service.
The same principle applies to other external links you may open from Tudio’s portfolio or website pages. If you want to understand or limit another service’s cookies, please review that service’s own settings and privacy information.
7. Changes to this Policy
Analytics tools and browser practices change over time. We may therefore update this Policy if the cookies used, their purposes or our service providers change. If we introduce a new optional category, we will also adapt the consent mechanism so that your choice remains understandable and meaningful.
