A long-term web partnership with the African Studies Association
For more than ten years, Tudio has supported the African Studies Association in developing and evolving its digital ecosystem: websites, custom applications, hosting, maintenance and ongoing improvements.
More than ten years evolving ASA's web tools
The African Studies Association has worked with Tudio for more than a decade to support and evolve its digital presence. The relationship has included several generations of websites, including a new WordPress redesign launched in 2023.
The collaboration extends beyond the public website. Tudio has also designed custom web applications for the association, including a membership management platform developed with Symfony.
Over time, the work developed into ongoing support: new feature development, platform maintenance, hosting, technical support and adaptation of the tools as the organization's needs changed.

Multiple projects, one continuous partnership

A digital ecosystem, not just a public website
Our work with ASA covers its public presence, its business applications and the ongoing support required to keep the overall ecosystem coherent over time.

ASA's public website has been renewed several times over the course of the partnership to keep pace with the organization and its content.

Ongoing evolution
Needs do not stop when a website launches. ASA's platforms continue to evolve as new priorities emerge.
- New feature development
- Adaptation of existing tools
- Ongoing platform improvements
- Long-term technical support
The value of the work also comes from continuity
A long-term relationship preserves context, makes new needs easier to understand and allows the platforms to evolve without starting from scratch each time.
Context knowledge
The organization's platforms, processes and priorities are already understood.
Consistency technique
The public website and applications evolve with a shared understanding of the ecosystem.
Responsiveness
New requests require less time to rebuild context when a need arises.
Sustainable evolution
Each improvement can fit into a broader long-term view of the tools.
Two technologies serving complementary roles
The choice of tools depends on the problem to solve. WordPress makes the institutional website and its content easier to manage, while Symfony provides the flexibility needed to build custom business applications.

Used for custom applications that require more business logic, including the membership management platform.
A technical partner that understands the ecosystem and can help it evolve
For the African Studies Association, working with Tudio is not limited to delivering a website once. The relationship is built on technical continuity that makes it possible to maintain existing platforms, adapt them and build new tools as the organization needs them.
More than ten years after the partnership began, Tudio continues to support ASA in developing and evolving its web ecosystem.
